#crit101 Week one assignment

To be brutally honest, my ability to undertake independent learning outside of school leaves much to be desired!  Sadly, “Don’t put off today what you can do tomorrow” is not a mantra I live my life by! In fact my family nickname is ‘lastminute.com’ as you may see from when  this blog was posted. I have come to the realisation that I only work to my full potential when under intense pressure, i.e. when a deadline is about to expire. This, however, creates serious amounts of stress in my life. So you could say that my motivation for enrolling  in #crit101 is to take myself on a journey of self improvement: to help me become more focused, to organise my time more efficiently, to be better organised, determined, independant and less distracted by the things I’d rather be doing in my spare time!

Unlike Hereiamyourself, I do know where I want to be in fifteen years time and I know what must be achieved to reach my goals. I just need a little nudge in the right direction and I believe #crit 101 might help!

I think it’s possible for anyone to become an independent learner with a little time, curiousity and determination. I need to grab this opportunity to refocus on what’s important in the long term, for my future success.
