Fifteen

โ€œHappiness in marriage is not something that just happens. A good marriage must be created… It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives. It is standing together facing the world… It is discovering what marriage can be, at its best.”

My wife, quoting Wilferd A. Peterson, captures exactly how we both feel after fifteen delightful years of marriage.

For my own part, what I know is this: I would be lost without her… half a soul, bereft of purpose and direction; like a ship gone adrift at sea. She is my north star; my guiding light; my personal GPS. As long as she is with me I will always find my way.

Here’s to fifteen more years, indeed!

Fantastic short run this morning… new PB average pace over this distance and sub five minutes on the third killometre.

Definitely reaping the benefits of having a consistently flat route to run. And it doesn’t hurt that it follows a beautiful stretch of coast line either!

5.1 km – 26.19 min – 5’09” pace

The Next Step…

Hastings Pier

After 16 years, I am leaving The Chalfonts Community College (on Thursday!) to join The St Leonards Academy as Vice Principal.

Jennifer and I are relocating to Hastings to live and work by the sea. I took the photo above on the day I interviewed for the position. The role itself was certainly enticing but this view sealed the deal.

I am very excited about this opportunity. It is the โ€˜next stepโ€™ I have been working towards for some time now.
