I am currently an Assistant Principal and Leader for English and Media Studies at The Chalfonts Community College in Buckinghamshire, UK. I have a particular interest in independent learning, believing that education has more to do with ‘learning’ rather than ‘teaching’. As such, I continually strive to subvert the educator/learner dichotomy.
I completed a Masters in Education between 2010 and 2013. For my dissertation I ran a MOOC titled Critical Skills 101, exploring the potential for schools to offer open online courses, augmenting the ‘real time’ curriculum. I write a blog about education, technology, productivity and design. I’m active amongst the education community on Twitter, and I have presented at a number of conferences and unconferences.
